If you are a Motor policyholder with Constantia Insurance Company Ltd, you are entitled to the benefits provided by the Constantia Roadside Assistance Program. All benefits are provided by One Loyalty using the AA Fleetcare Roadside Assistance Program, and is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
To access your benefits, call the Call Centre on 0861 115 049.
You will have been provided your membership card and no tow sticker. The sticker should be placed on your vehicle (we suggest the driver’s side back window). You now have great peace of mind in the event of any roadside emergency, with help just a phone call away on 0861 115 049. In the event of Telkom lines being down, please call the emergency backup number 083 791 0109.
IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, AND YOU CANNOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE, IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU CONTACT THE CALL CENTRE FOR THE AA FLEETCARE TO REMOVE YOUR VEHICLE TO A SAFE PLACE. PLEASE NOTE:
- If an accident occurs within 100km of Johannesburg, Durban, Pietermaritzburg or Cape Town your vehicle will be towed to Constantia’s Central Storage Facilities, or, if outside the Johannesburg, Durban, Pietermaritzburg or Cape Town areas, to the nearest AA approved panelbeater.
- The AA will, on request, relay an urgent message to advise concerned parties of the circumstances.
In the event of a Roadside Emergency, you have access to the following services (limited to R500 per incident, and thereafter for the member’s account):
- Jumpstart flat battery (replacement of battery for member’s account)
- Flat tyre (help with change of tyre)
- Keys locked in vehicle (unlocking only)
- Fuel assistance (cost of fuel for member’s account)
- Minor roadside-running repairs
In the event of a Mechanical or Electrical breakdown, a Tow-in service (one tow per incident) to the nearest approved dealership (if under warranty), repair centre or panelbeater is provided – covered up to R500. For any additional towing beyond the R500 limit, the client must make his/her own arrangements with the tow truck driver at his/her own expense.
For breakdowns or accidents more than 100km from home (on the condition that towing is arranged via the AA Call Centre):
- Overnight accommodation for the driver and passengers – covered up to R500
OR - 24-hour, Group-B car rental – covered up to R500 (subject to availability and the driver being in possession of a valid credit card and driver’s license).
AND
- In the event of a member’s vehicle being left for repairs, One Loyalty will pay up to R500 towards the cost of a 24-hour, Group-B car rental or a flight ticket to collect the vehicle after repairs. Alternatively, should the vehicle have been towed to a dealership, repairer or panel beater closer to the member’s place of residence, One Loyalty will supplement the additional tow costs with the costs of car rental, again limited to R500.
Please note: This cover excludes all vehicles with a gross mass exceeding 3 500kg, unroadworthy vehicles, motor homes, large panel vans, trailers, caravans and boat trailers. A member will not be entitled to service where the vehicle is already at a place of repair. Any costs incurred through arrangements made by the member without prior authorisation, storage fees, repairs, labour, spare parts, call-out fees, weekend levies, telephony, salvage and toll-gate fees will not be reimbursed. Assistance is only available in South Africa, Lesotho and Swaziland. Overall limits of R5 000 per vehicle per annum applies for private vehicles and R2 500 per vehicle per annum for commercial vehicles.
