EFC and Constantia Insurance have announced a historic partnership. In another step towards athlete health and safety, athletes will now be provided with medical insurance, at no cost to them, which will provide financial assistance towards treating injuries sustained whilst competing at EFC events.

Previously, EFC broke ground with its medical aid assistance plan where EFC became the first and only combat sport organisation on the continent to contribute to half of an athlete's medical aid costs. Now, taking another leap Constantia are providing EFC athletes with medical insurance during combat sport competition at no cost to the athlete.

EFC strives to create the best possible environment for the best MMA athletes to showcase their skills, and believe that they deserve the best possible medical care available. For years EFC has been working on medical insurance for its athletes and is very fortunate to now be partnering with an industry leader, Constantia. As well as the event medical insurance that EFC is investing in, Constantia will also be providing athletes with disability cover and income protection.

"EFC is proud to announce that it has partnered with Constantia to provide EFC athletes medical insurance," stated EFC president Cairo Howarth. He continued, “Until now, in order to compete at EFC it has been a requirement that athletes have private medical aid covering them for professional MMA competition, and EFC has contributed towards the cost of the athlete's medical aid, but now all this changes with this new partnership."
